By bridging Western physiological knowledge and Eastern energetic principles, Zenko Massage offers a comprehensive path to wellness. Our practice is dedicated to providing an empowering environment where every massage is tailored to the individual's unique journey toward health and balance.
Our Philosophy
In Japanese folklore, Zenko are benevolent fox spirits, also known as kitsune, that serve as messengers and protectors. Often depicted with multiple tails to symbolize growing wisdom and the power of transformation, they represent a guardian presence. In this practice, the Zenko serves as a guiding metaphor: a commitment to protecting your wellbeing while supporting your physical and personal transformation.
Meet Your Therapist
Cynthia is a licensed massage therapist who has been practicing professionally since graduating from Saint Paul College in 2022. Her background in social work serves as a foundation in her holistic, empowering, and trauma-informed approach to bodywork. With an additionally unique history as a carpenter in the construction industry, Cynthia possesses special insight into the demands of physical labor and its long-term effects on the body.
While she effectively treats a variety of musculoskeletal conditions and postural distortions, she especially specializes in the clinical relief of neck, shoulder, and jaw pain- specifically addressing the complexities of upper-crossed syndrome. Dedicated to lifelong learning, Cynthia is currently advancing her practice through a certification in Shiatsu at Northwestern Health Sciences University, further deepening the integration of Eastern principles and philosophies into her clinical work.
Cynthia also practices in Woodbury under the name Cici to avoid confusion with another therapist. She is excited to bring her skills and expertise to Inver Grove Heights under her new practice, Zenko Massage.
